Hadoop Administrator

Job Description:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering.
• Good experience in Hadoop echo system.
• Experience in security aspects of Hadoop and Linux such as File-based ACLs, Kerberos, Ranger, and encryption, integration with AD/LDAP.
• Experience in performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Spark routine.
• Should have sound knowledge in Hive, Impala, Sqoop, Oozie, HDFS, Hive, etc.
• Proven track record with Cloudera Hadoop administration.
• Broad understanding of information technology topics including hardware, networking, architecture, protocols, file systems, and operating systems.
• Involved in problem determination using application and system error logs.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and presentation skills - constant communication, regular update and follow-ups with various stake holders.
• Ability to listen to team members and communicate instructions effectively.
• Quick learner, self-motivated, should have the ability to lead and direct team members.
• Should have the ability to take proactive steps in managing problems.
• Able to motivate and inspire team members.
• Encourage creativity and constant improvement.
