iOS/Android App Developer (Fresher - OPT)

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and passionate iOS/Android App Developer (Fresher - OPT) to join our development team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms. You will work closely with experienced developers and cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of high-quality mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with experienced developers and cross-functional teams to design and develop mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
  2. Assist in translating wireframes and mockups into functional and visually appealing mobile applications.
  3. Learn and implement best practices in mobile app development to ensure quality, performance, and maintainability of the applications.
  4. Participate in testing activities to identify and fix bugs, optimize performance, and ensure a smooth user experience.
  5. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, frameworks, and technologies related to mobile app development and propose ideas for enhancing application features and functionalities.
  6. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions within defined timelines.
  7. Assist in integrating mobile applications with server-side APIs and databases, under the guidance of experienced developers.
  8. Collaborate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  9. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues and bugs reported by users to ensure a seamless app experience.
  10. Contribute to agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of features and improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience and an active OPT will also be considered.
  2. Strong understanding of programming concepts and basic knowledge of mobile app development for iOS and/or Android platforms.
  3. Familiarity with programming languages such as Swift (iOS) and Java/Kotlin (Android) is a plus.
  4. Basic understanding of mobile app architecture patterns, user interface design principles, and mobile app testing techniques.
  5. Knowledge of backend technologies and APIs is desirable but not mandatory.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced development environment.
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  8. Self-motivated and proactive in staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  9. Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, is a plus.
