IT Application Engineer

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field and two years of relevant experience. Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or a related field and two years of experience in the relevant occupation. One year of experience must involve: developing solutions for Oracles e-business suite; experience with Oracles development tools including SQL and PLSQL, reports, forms, BI publisher, Workflow Build and JDeveloper; Experience with at least one of the following e-business suite applications: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Procurement, General Ledger, Inventory, or Fixed Assets; and experience in engaging Oracle Support to research and resolve issues. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A strong functional and technical knowledge of Oracle e-Business suite in a multi-organization and multi-set of books environment. Two years experience working with Oracle Financials focused on extending and/or supporting General Ledger, Procurement, Payables, Receivables, Cash Management, Fixed Assets. Strong technical knowledge of the underlying tables, integration points and technology processes are critical to success in this role. Ability to work with limited general supervision. Must have very strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications with an emphasis toward highly available and scalable global solutions. Ability to collaborate with a diverse set of business customers and drive consensus when conflicting requirements are identified. Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively organize and communicate across functional and technical lines are critical. Root cause analysis and complex problem solving skills are important.
