IT Data Analyst

The IT Data Analyst works with IT and business stakeholders to identify processes and solutions to combine and normalize information from many disparate sources. This position improves data quality and consistency, supports program data requirements by analyzing process controls, creates common vocabulary, and performs root cause analyses.

Essential Job Functions

• Review and analyze processes ensuring data is standardized and handled by authorized roles
• Maintain an understanding of how data contained in various systems is utilized, and triangulate various aspects of the data into a usable format
• Use data aggregation to produce diagnostic reports as well as predictive analytics
• Identify data quality issues and establish internal data quality and auditing standards
• Collaborate with application developers and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement

Education and Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field of study from an accredited college or university is required
• A background in IT, business intelligence and relational databases
• A solid understanding of data sources, data organization, SQL commands and queries
• Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team and across company departments
• Healthcare industry knowledge/experience preferred
• Must be organized and self-motivated with a keen attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
