Job Title : Sr Web Services Automation  Location : Pleasanton, CA Job Description : This role works with client facing applications in collaboration with client service staff and involves recommendations for application optimization. The following skills are mandatory. White box tester with 3+ coding experience in Java 3+ years of validating and certifying web services using the Soap UI, Ready API tool with Groovy Basic knowledge of Soap UI is insufficient for this position, expertise needed Working with custom developed and packaged applications with exposure to all types of testing (Unit, System, Integration, Performance, Security, etc.) Strong database skills. In addition, he/she must be a problem solver capable of triaging issues Web services testing does not involve UI components so the candidate should be technically strong and be able to envision the test scenarios Ability to lead the team of 1-3 members desirable and produce reports on metrics Working with requirements that are often ambiguous, high level, and non-technical; an essential trait is that of assertiveness in working with a number of different areas/people to ensure ambiguity of requirements are thoroughly addressed Experience using modern testing tools (ex. Quality Center, Load Runner, etc.), SDLC activities and project management tools (Rally, Jira) are required Ability to translate technical data and concepts into actionable testing approaches. Strong background in implementing enterprise initiatives on a large scale.
