Java Backend Developer

Role Description We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer who is excited to solve complex technical challenges around developer and engineering productivity. You will be responsible for keeping the product suites up and running. You will also have the ability to shape the tools to smoothly run our secure development lifecycle and automate all aspects of our environment. You will be working closely with the Engineering Scrum Teams and System Engineering teams to support our customers across the globe, in a fast-paced, organised agile team setting with world class technologists. Your Impact We are seeking an experienced and hands-on full stack Engineer with proven coding skills to join a world-class team of highly motivated software engineers, product managers and infrastructure experts. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in end-to-end developing, building, testing, and maintaining a Productivity and Automation Platform for seamless customer experience. The applications that are built will increase the productivity of other engineering scrum teams. Be a proud in ideation and confidently drive innovations to market with full customer perspective. Strong familiarity working within Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban. Continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing best practices for coding, testing, and deployment

Required Skills/Experience

4+ years of professional software development experience with a solid Java Backend development experience Proven track record of owning a product and taking responsibility for deliverables. Ability to quickly learn and evaluate new technologies and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Well versed with the programming languages Java/J2EE, Groovy/NodeJS and Design patterns

• Agile/Scrum/Lean development methodology experience

• Working knowledge of continuous integration (Git) and continuous deployment (Jenkins, Gradle, Heroku pipeline, CircleCI, or equivalent)

• Experienced with TDD and BDD

• Ability to contribute individually and guide junior team members.

Desired Skills/Experience

• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud platforms

• Familiar with CI/CD, Jenkins and AWS

• Salesforce skills (for example, force.com, Apex, Lightning components, Heroku etc)

• Knowledge on Docker and Kubernetes will be considered as an add-on
