Java Developer

Job Summary:

The Java Developer shall have the following skills, training, and experience: a minimum of two years experience developing web applications and reports using Java, JavaScript, XML, HTML, SQL, and standard report builder tools. This will be a full-time position in Montgomery, Alabama.

The Java Developer will be responsible for the design, development, testing and implementation web applications and document templates and reports within a DOD Health environment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain and improve (design, develop, and test) a customized document templating engine Java program that pulls from a SQL database
• Maintain and improve (design, develop, and test) a customized reporting Java program that pulls from a SQL database
• Communicating these solutions in a professional way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Learn the codebase and application through a two week training session

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

• 1+ years of Java, JavaScript, XML, HTML, SQL
• B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related work experience
