Job Description :Keys to the position: Java/J2EE - Spring/Springboot; REST web services; micro services; AWS (developing and deploying in cloud); SQL queries; a little bit of devops Docker is highly preferred-they are moving in this direction, but they re not quite there yet. Will still consider people without Docker Maven is mandatory, Chef is not Database experience: deal with Cassandra and Postgres and Oracle, so should be able to pull data and extract from these sources Should have 6 to 7 yrs experience with Java and web services No UI at all JOB DESCRIPTION: Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Requires a bachelor&39;s degree in area of specialty and 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.  You&39;ll work on everything from customer-facing web and backend applications using cutting-edge open source frameworks, to highly-available RESTful services, to back-end Java based systems.
