Java Full Stack Developer

Description:

Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced full stack developer to join the Equity Front Office Technology team. The individual will work as part of the global development team, which is spread across 4 MSIM sites. The individual will help the team design, develop a modern technology stack to power our digital platforms aimed unlocking efficiencies for our Investment Teams and traders. As a front office developer, the individual will also work closely with the Equity front office team to solve operational problems and design strategic solutions to offer best class technology solutions to our investment teams.

1.C#/.NET technology using Winforms

2.Java, SpringBoot micro-services

3.Python

4.Sybase

5.Unix/Linux Responsibilities: 1.Designing and develop applications using C#/.NET technology in Winforms (front end) and Java in the backend 2.Participating in our agile ceremonies and actively driving towards the team’s goals. 3.Working independently using modern software development practices. 4.Working collaboratively with a global team of technologists. 5.Leading with ideas and innovation. 6.Managing communication and partnering with our end users to design solutions. Experience: -At least 5 years of experience developing C#/.NET applications. -At least 5 years of experience developing Java applications. -Solid experience writing unit, component and integration tests. -Solid experience working with relational database. -Experience working with microservices and distributed systems. -Experience working directly with end users. -Strong understanding of financial markets and various financial instruments with a focus on Equities. -Strong computer science fundamentals.
