Java Lead JD:

SEI is looking for a Tech lead for their Polar Express team that sits in Malvern.  We are looking for the candidate to start by mid Dec if possible.  We can take H1s and candidates can skype interview if needed.

The contract is for 1+ years . Candidates should have 10+ years exp with at least 2 years mentoring and leading a team

The position will be for the Trailblazers team within Polar Express.  This team does work on some leading edge technologies.

So besides the following:

• Middle-tier tech, such as strong Java, Weblogic, Spring, Spring MVC, Struts (minimal)
• UI tech, such as strong UI, HTML, Javascript, JQuery, JSP, etc
• Database knowledge. Not DBA knowledge, but general knowledge, good understanding, can do ad-hoc queries for data

It would be great if they had experience in these, since there is a lot of this on this team:

• Angular (fairly heavy). Really hope we could get someone who knows some Angular.
• RESTful Web Services
• Bootstrap
• Docker containers
• Kafka  (team owns/supports components using this)
• Elastic  (team owns/supports components using this)
• Unix knowledge (can get around, is familiar)

Experience in the following is a plus:

• Spring Boot (sort of replaces use of Weblogic)
• Swagger
• Kafka tools
• Elastic tools
