Job Description :In this role, a typical day will include:
- Performs software development for client/server Java applications programs.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Generates new code and corrects; converts; and/or modifies existing code to meet specifications.
- Participates in the design, coding, testing, and debugging of new software or enhancing existing software.
- Analyzes test results and recommends corrections to more experienced software engineers.
- Troubleshoots problems and provides customer support for software operating system. and application issues.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor Degree in software development or equivalent technical degree
- 0-2 yrs. of development experience with strong emphasis on Java
- Development experience with Java
- Development experience in UI development; including JSP, JavaScript and CSS
- Understanding and experience with different components like service layer, Data Access Layer and transaction management
- Knowledge of the Best Practices of software development and Coding standards.
- Troubleshoots problems and provides customer support for application issues.
- Strong interpersonal presentation and communication skills.
Additional Desired Skills:
- Experience in web development in backend Javascripts environments like Node.js, React
- Experience in web development frameworks like Spring Framework 4/5, Spring MVC, Spring Security
- Experience in ORM implementation (eg. Hibernate 4/5)
- Experience designing & working with relational databases (eg. Oracle).
- Experience creating HTML5 user interfaces utilizing frameworks such as JQuery & Bootstrap.
- Familiarity with build and deployment (eg. Maven)
- Familiarity with source control tools.
