Junior PM

Role Responsibilities:

• Execute projects using the Software Delivery Life Cycle
• Understand the business drivers and requirements of projects
• Development of project plans using waterfall, agile, and rapid application development methodologies
• Implement project management lifecycle processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Formal project-level status, metrics, issues, and risks reporting
• Strong working knowledge of MS Project
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written skills
• Sense of urgency

Qualifications

• Successful completion of 2 yrs. Post-secondary education majoring in business administration, public administration, computer science/information technology, social science, or health, with major being commensurate with project to be assigned;
• 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects. Or 3 yrs. exp. in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation), with experience to be commensurate with project/program &/or position description on file (e.g., specific human service program area, management information sciences, fiscal);
• 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.

Skills:

• Ability to communicate the journey, goals and issues to the business and team members. Also has the ability to develop and present on project progress.
• Must have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and produce documents for easy access and future reference.
• Ability to manage the team, handle conflict and coach team members as necessary.
• Project manager must be able to create a project timeline in MS Project and maintain those deadlines throughout the project lifecycle.

Required skills:

• 3 years exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.

Note:

• Webcam interview
• Long term contract 
• Initial remote due to COVID-19 then onsite; must pick up laptop in person
• Must relocate to Columbus OH if not local
• Candidate must be local by day 1. this position will require some work to be performed onsite.
