Required Qualifications:

• Mainframe Configuration Management is the process of optimizing the integration and interrelationship of multiple mainframe devices while maximizing end user availability. This process consists of multiple sub processes namely mainframe configuration design, planning and implementation.
• Formulates, defines, implements and maintains specifications for multiple, complex I/O definitions using available tools and utilities (e.g., HCD, HCM, HMC, ESCON Manager, etc.).
• Acts as the primary technical resource for mainframe configuration issues.
• Maintains Configuration Management Work Request database.
• Provides 24X7X365 coverage for all configuration issues
• Provides Level 3 Hardware Support.
• Systematic interrogation of the problem management systems
• Authors and owns change tickets for all configuration changes
• Pre-stage all I/O gens
• Performs dynamic gens as needed
• Mainframe attached Ficon director ownership
• Participates in weekly Change Meetings
• Participates in Project Planning meetings as technical expert for configuration issues
• Participates in DR planning and execution
• Provides SME training
• Maintains knowledge of product capabilities and future possibilities
• Determines gaps between current state and desired state and develops plans to achieve.
