Manager of Engineering and Development

Job Description :nd related equipment components to determine their viability and application in new vehicle design to increase operational productivity in a cost effective manner. Provide strategic direction and critical milestone tracking to insure best practice initiatives are completed. Includes but not limited to; Information gathering, opportunities analysis, implementation recommendation, reporting metrics to measure success, to plan, execution and documentation. Develop and implement engineering principles as they pertain to vehicles, equipment, trailers, hydraulics and electrical systems both AC and DC Interpret manuals and schematics for vehicles, trucks, hydraulics, trailers, equipment and electrical both AC and DC Evaluate customer problems / requirements and identify appropriate solutions to include making cost benefit decisions Interface with suppliers to ensure Verizon specifications are achieved. You'll Need To Have What we re looking for... BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience (concentrations in operations, industrial/mechanical engineering. In depth mechanical knowledge of all class of vehicles, equipment, and trailers. Experience with various upfitting processes preferred. Create and deliver presentations in addition to the review, update and or creation of standard operating procedures. Able to communicate clearly, concisely and with confidence effectively to all levels of management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; specifically MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint. Even Better If You Have Project Management certification. Master Mechanic certification preferred. Proven record of driving project results from start to finish. Telecommunication or Utility equipment background preferred.
