Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

• Manage all stages of the mechanical design process for medical devices
• New product design in co-ordination with embedded engineering and Industrial design teams. Good understanding of CAD modelling methodologies for various parts/products. Good knowledge of various Manufacturing processes.

Good knowledge of plastic and sheet metal design guidelines. Good understanding of tooling and manufacturing feasibilities

• Good knowledge of engineering calculations.
• Know-how of ISO 13485, IEC 60601 standard
• Carries out detailed mechanical design work including 3D modeling, simulation, design
• Verification and testing, as required.
• Develop outline CAD design in Solid works (3D CAD Modeling)
• Evaluate the final product's overall performance, reliability, and safety.
• Responsible for the specification compliance of designs.
• Responsible for GD&T
• Responsible for preparing and presenting mechanical designs at design reviews.
• Responsible for the creation of 2D drawings to allow manufacture or purchase.
• Good knowledge of engineering calculations.
• 3D CAD Modeling
• Softwares : SolidWorks, Catia, MS Office
