Mechanical Engineer

Requirements:

• Partner with other members of the senior leadership team to develop and implement the continuous improvement of operational best practices and SOPs to support OMDs aggressive growth plans
• Key liaison with N/A product development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment on key strategic objectives, resource utilization, timelines, and deliverables
• Proactively work to understand the latest market trends and supply/logistics dynamics while anticipating the impact on the business plan and implementing risk mitigation strategies to ensure a continuous flow of goods
• Challenge the status quo to minimize risk and maximize performance
• Demonstrate a commitment to finding ways to reduce our environmental footprint, in every aspect of our business.
• Build and develop a high-performance team including overseeing employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture through growth, development, recognition, rewards of talented team members, and upholding and living out OMDs core values; also identify and develop future leaders
• Establish and maintain key supplier relationships, lead contract negotiations, and secure terms that ensure OMDs ability to deliver on its aggressive growth plans while maintaining cost competitiveness and cash flow requirements
• Ensure that the monthly production plan, inventory projection and the ongoing position of the inventory KPIs (Days of supply on hand, turns, and inventory $) meet OMD’s cash conversion cycle and financial performance objectives
• Work with the finance team to contribute to the overall short and long-range planning process and the establishment and assessment of the organization's annual operating budget.
• Provide daily leadership and mentorship and act as an expert resource for internal and external operations team members
