MQ Integration Architect

Duties & Responsibilities:    

• Experience in administration, configuration, and upgrades for IBM-MQ, IBM-MQFTE or any other message platform.  Axway and DataPower knowledge a plus.
• Utilize DevOp's core principles in your daily work.
• Design, develop, and implement integrations based on use feedback.
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.
• Implement automation tools and frameworks (Ci/CD pipelines).
• Analyze code and communicate detailed reviews to development teams to ensure a marked improvement in applications and the timely completion of products.
• Collaborate with team members to improve the company’s engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security.
• Deliver quality customer service and resolve end-user issues in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:        

• Degree in Computer Science or another related technical field.
• 10+ years’ experience as a Middleware Engineer or equivalent software/development/engineering role.
• Working knowledge of databases & Network configs used by IBM Messaging products
• Experience with software development methodologies and SDLC.
• Candidate possesses a problem-solving attitude and can work independently.
• Must be very organized, able to balance multiple priorities, and self-motivated

Technical Skills:

• Need an MQ Integration Architect to join the Integration Services Team.
• This team is responsible for B2B gateways that support the ability to communicate with suppliers, customers, and partners. 
• Technologies for managed file transfer, messaging, and services. 
• This position will report to the Integration Services Manager and can be remote.
• The candidate will develop software to integrate internal and cloud systems. 
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IBM software engineering and will employ DevOps tools to improve accessibility, visibility, and production stability. 
• Experience with IBM MQ, IBM-MQFTE, is required.
