Occupational Therapist

Job Description:

Reporting to the Occupational Therapist Supervisor, the Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for providing services to children aged 2 - 3 years old while working alongside Speech-Language Pathologists, ABA Therapists, and a team of dedicated professionals in this dynamic non-profit organization.

Interested individuals should have a strong background in working with young children and have knowledge of the evaluation and treatment of infants and toddlers.

Requirements:

• New York State licensed
• Completion of a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Previous experience in autism and early childhood desired
• Adaptable in a new environment
• Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus

Salary:

$72,500 - $80,000

Schedule:

8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday

This is a full-time, 12-month position

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide direct care treatment to children ages 2 - 3
• Review physician's referral and children's medical records to help determine diagnosis and occupational therapy treatment required
• Plan, prepare and perform individually designed treatment programs to maintain, improve and/or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and/or prevent physical dysfunction in children
• Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for re-evaluation
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit
• Collaborate with related services in providing individualized programming for each child
• Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
