Power Bi Developer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and design effective and visually appealing visualizations.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and apps.
• Maintain data refresh schedules of published datasets.
• Monitor the performance and availability of Power BI solutions.
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting on BI models.
• Work with data engineer to improve data warehousing models.
• Author documentation and conduct training for end users as needed.
• Stay in the loop with Power BI features and upgrades.
• Work on the foundation of a Dev/UAT/Prod framework for Power BI reports and datasets.
• Assist functional data analysts on the basics of generating their own Power BI reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, business, or related technical fields.
• Must have minimum of 3 years' of experience developing using Microsoft Power BI.
• Proficiency using DAX to create measures, summary tables, etc.
• Experience with complex DAX functions and SQL queries is required
• Experience writing Python a plus.
• Working experience on SQL Server database development.
• Strong understanding of SQL and experience writing complex queries.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling.
• Comfortable using REST APIs and JSON.
• Experience implementing Row Level Security in Power BI.
• Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
