QA Analyst - Functional

• Completes all assigned functional, regression, performance, and automation tests of applications within the appropriate timeline.
• Participates in all project-level planning and reviews and approvals sessions, which includes application software requirements/design review meetings.
• Creates and designs the following deliverables: test strategy & test plan, detailed test cases, test scripts, traceability matrix, test estimates, progress reports for test execution, various defect and statistical data reports, etc.
• Develops test approach based on established standards and the analysis of design/requirement documentation.
• Creates and executes test cases, log and assign defects and keeps track of the defect status.
• Implements an efficient and scalable Selenium Webdriver framework including data-driven, modular, and database.
• Writes efficient test automation scripts using Selenium Webdriver and Java programming concepts (variable, loop, procedure, function, data types and collections, exceptions, and debugging your code). This requires coding scripts and not using simple recording of the UI.
• Builds and automate smoke tests and regression test suites.
• Cross-trains and mentors other team members on automation framework and scripts development.
• Assist in performance test effort using tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, etc.
• Verifies database design and data integrity through backend testing using SQL. Plans and secures test environment and test data to execute database testing.
• Participates in applications troubleshooting and resolving production issues Proposes, prepares and executes test scenarios to reproduce production issues in non-production and production environments.
• Participates in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process improvement initiatives with the Project Management Office and the Application Development teams to provide gap analysis and recommendations for the resolution of issues.

Project Specific Technical Requirements:  

• Hands-on current experience authoring, building and adopting large scale, cross-functional automation frameworks with well-balanced coverage across UI, back-end integration, database levels.
• Deep understanding of different test automation approaches (keyword-driven, Data-driven, BDD, hybrid) and technology stacks (Java, .NET, JavaScript, Python, etc. 8+ years of experience in the following:
• Writing test automation codes for IT/Web systems (Java language preferred). 3+ years of experience in the following:
• Software test automation architecture, design and development experience, including developing CI/CD;
