QA Automation Engineer

• The QA Automation Engineer will work with the UI development and API platform teams across the organization. The qualified resource will join a leading financial institute.

Responsibilities:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, working experience in an Agile development environment
• Collaborating with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions
• Knowledge of SOAP and Restful APIs
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in Java programming skills for test automation
• Inspect API calls and response data, validate HTTP methods and request types, validate HTTP status codes, add assertions
• Configure data properties and parameterize with business defined data sets, conduct data-driven testing
• Knowledge on groovy scripting for data-driven testing, use file-based sources like MS Excel and modify test steps during a test run
• SQL knowledge is a plus – write simply to complex joins, understand SQL triggers and stored procedures for batch processing
• A bachelor’s degree is required
