Job Description :

Responsibilities:

  • Senior-level QA position: A trusted partner to product development who actively works to both understand and represent customer needs, and who can effectively apply advanced concepts of test, provide sound analysis to problems in both product and process domains, and proactively improve product quality.
  • Participates in early requirement definition with an eye toward what testing will be needed
  • Creates and executes test cases from requirements and defects, while demonstrating exploratory testing in targeted areas based on a depth of experience on multiple products/markets.
  • Proficient in test plan creation, allocates resources within a test cycle, monitors and reports progress, captures performance indicators, and handles communication to internal and external teams
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to apply Risk-based Testing practices for the department, focusing on balancing limited resources with appropriate test rigor
  • Capable of systematically working through problems of high complexity, both individually and with cross-functional teams
  • Able to define current and desired target states, perform root cause analyses, and devise experiments to validate fixes
  • Provides coaching to more junior test team members
  • Adhere to all NOV HSE policies, utilize appropriate PPE, and actively participate in monthly safety meetings.

 Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science (or related field) with 5+ years’ experience in SWQA or equivalent lower academic qualification + 8 years’ experience in SWQA
  • Significant experience testing and proving product quality release over release.
  • Practical experience in testing strategies for full stack web or mobile applications.
  • Working knowledge and/or focused study in using test automation.
  • Innate, practical interest in new technologies, industry trends, and best practices to solve meaningful business problems.
  • Well intervention and completions operational knowledge a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attentive to detail, ability to multi-task.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of using software testing tools.
  • Excellent programming skills are a must.
  • QA analysts should be good in mathematics, and analytics.
  • They are required to have strong technical skills.
  • QA analysts should be good problem solvers.
  • Report making skills.
