Research Scientist-Virus purification(OPT/H1B sponsorship)

Our client seeks a research scientist for client vaccines (prophylactic and therapeutic) for the prevention and treatment of significant human using a variety of vaccine technology platforms combined with immunomodulatory agents. A virus purification scientist is required to join our client, to develop and support vaccine platform production processes at the research scale. The role is laboratory-based, and a major emphasis is placed upon laboratory training to increase the scope of practical abilities, as well as the theory behind such practical work.

Responsibilities:

• Work semi-independently as well as, as a part of a group.
• Responsible for the crucial appraisal of the results of theirs and present them for review, at certain task milestones.
• Will have knowledge and training solid in virus/protein purification.
• Are going to be in a position to proactively and independently use this expertise in the layout as well as execution of experimental work, to allow advancement of vaccine discovery tasks.

Qualifications

• Should have an MSc or BSs within biological sciences or perhaps biochemical/chemical engineering.
• At least 1-5 years working in a laboratory at an industrial or academic environment.
• Competent in protein/virus purification by using chromatographic methods.
• Experience with Unicorn based FPLC methods, tangential flow ultrafiltration, dead-end filtration as well as ultracentrifugation based purification.
• Competent in virus/protein characterization methods as well as expertise in handling Cat.2 infectious viruses.
