Senior Devops Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and build a scalable, reliable, secure, and performant cloud-based infrastructure for a modern  solution.
• Ensure and advocate redundancy, scalability, and security in all our work.
• Take ownership of prioritizing, responding to, and handling server issues.
• Take ownership of the deployment process throughout all environments and ensure that best practice is followed when it comes to releasing management.
• Manage the day-to-day relationship between us and our part-time remote Sysadmin team.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years in a technical role such as DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator or Site Reliability Engineer, or equivalent in production cloud environments, delivering customer-facing web applications and/or online services.
• Familiar with security best practices and knowledge of common security technologies and services like firewalls, VPNs,  or SIEM, and endpoint protection.
• Experience in managing and improving both development and production infrastructure using tools such as Ansible to automate as much as possible.
• Experience with both NoSQL and SQL database administration.

Key Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of programming languages.
•  Python and Java, and writing code.
•  Ability to oversee and mentor junior software developers.
• Ability to install and configure software, gather test-stage data, and perform.
