Senior Software Engineer (Python/Java)

Job description Responsibilities:

This role is responsible to build and manage internal tools and salesforce product. You will be working with the global team and stakeholders to execute the database availability tasks and continuously improving and innovating the current tooling. You will be driving the development projects.

- Design, implement and test services that reliably build and manage infrastructure. - Take personal responsibility for the availability and reliability of our services. - Participate in technology architecture discussions and planning with internal partners and senior leadership. - Communicate status, risks to schedules and offer mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery of projects. - Work in conjunction with multiple teams to coordinate infrastructure and application dependencies. - Champion best practices and policies, including code reviews, coding standards, and Agile development.

Required Skills/Experience :

Bachelors / Masters Degree or Higher in Computer Science or related field. 6 + years of professional software development experience. Expert programming skills in Python or Java (experience in other languages considered). Designing, developing, and researching Machine Learning systems, models, and schemes. Searching and selecting appropriate data sets before performing data collection and data modeling Identifying differences in data distribution that could affect model performance in real-world situations Understanding when your findings can be applied to business decisions Experience with API design. 4- 5 years of e xperience in delivering engineering applications using agile/scrum methodology Very good understanding of RDBMS concepts. Experience in PLSQL is an added advantage Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and problem solving skills Design and implementation experience of large infrastructure projects and working with multiple teams Proven record of creating reusable and maintainable source code. Experience with container based deployment and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes Strong knowledge of Perforce or GIT Strong knowledge in CI/CD pipeline Please note you may be required to work on shifts at times, depending on business needs
