Software Developer

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, maintain, and enhance the existing PHP codebase of our Hyperion POS system, ensuring it meets our operational requirements and standards for quality and performance.
• Develop and implement new features, fixes, and enhancements in the Hyperion system, working closely with the development team and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the legacy system, optimizing code for efficiency and maintainability.
• Document your code and create technical documentation for new and existing features, contributing to our knowledge base and improving our development processes.
• Collaborate with the development team, sharing knowledge and best practices for working with legacy systems and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a PHP Developer, with a strong background in working with legacy code and systems.
• Demonstrable ability to read, understand, and navigate complex and poorly documented PHP codebases.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and an understanding of how to optimize queries for performance.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
