Software Engineer- DevOps

Job description

• Setup, deploy and manage applications via as code on AWS and Azure.
• Create and Manage the Highly Resilient environments.
• Automate deployments(CI/CD) & other repetitive tasks using shell/Powershell/Python scripts or tools like Jenkins.
• Configure and leverage configuration management using tools like SSM or Puppet.
• Configure automated alerts/monitors and act on any outages/incidents.
• Ensure that the infrastructure is secured.
• Develop, document and/or refine processes to standardize and automate wherever possible.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand systems, integrate with them, and develop SOPs for supporting them.
• Understand client requirements, propose solutions and ensure delivery.
• Innovate and actively look for improvements in overall infrastructure.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor's Degree, with 0-1 years experience in System Administration and at least 2+ year experience in AWS.
• Should have worked on various AWS services like : EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, ECS, EKS, Lambda etc.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience in boto3 usage and concepts.
• Understanding of Rest APIs and HTTP Methods.
• Understanding of APM tools like Datadog, NewRelic, Dynatrace and Log Analytics Tools Like Splunk.
• Well-versed with shell scripting and Languages like Python or Nodejs.
• Good Exposure in IaaC tools like Terraform or Cloudformation and CI/CD Tools like Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Linux and Unix like Systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter and ability to deliver under tight timelines.

Good to have:

• Familiar with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar tools
• Prior experience in handling client communications
• Knowledge of databases.
• Windows Server Administration and Powershell Experience.
• A fundamental understanding of ITIL Service Management processes such as: Problem, Incident, change, and request Management.
• Understanding of Azure Components Like: Eventhubs, AppServices, Storage Accounts etc.
