Sr Data Analyst

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in statistics, applied mathematics, operations research, economics, or a related field.
• Aptitude for quantitative problem solving and precision.
• Experience in data analysis and strong computer skills.
• Ideally, an excellent working knowledge of Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS SQL, and advanced SAS DATA step and macro programming on a UNIX and Windows platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an informal, collegial environment.
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Provide statistical analysis of datasets using software such as R or Python, including thinking critically about results and assisting with common analysis including correlations, linear/logistic/Poisson regression, multi-level models, survival analysis, principal components analysis, meta-analyses, simulations, and looped analyses to systematically run thousands of permutations on a given analysis. 
• Manage a database containing multiple cohort studies that we use for the study, including ensuring data security. 
• Data cleaning, manipulation, and troubleshooting, and prepare descriptive analyses.
• Assist in manuscript preparation and perform literature reviews. 
• Assist in grant submissions and provide administrative support to the dry lab. 
• Correspond with internal and external stakeholders, including funders and collaborating researchers.
