Sr Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Be comfortable writing and deploying production-grade code on a daily basis.
• Contribute to automated tests and other parts of end-to-end software delivery.
• Work collaboratively with other teams and within the team with other engineers and product managers.
• Mentor and lead by example more junior engineers, breaking up tasks for them while leading end-to-end projects.
• Evaluate and identify the correct approaches or technologies to use to solve problems.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, handling production deployments and monitoring production systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science or similar or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a Senior Engineer owning data production platforms.
• Strong applied software development experience; you've built, shipped, monitored, broken, and fixed software applications.
• Experience with real time or near real time data processing, databases and data management.
• Experience with an object oriented programming language.
