Job Description :Tableau Developer Washington DC GC / Citizens Looking for candidate who possess in-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence program and develop dashboards, solve technical issues, and provide Tableau user support for one of our Federal Client. The staff will work under the direction of the Client&39;s Business Intelligence Team Lead. The specific duties include but are not necessarily limited to the following: • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in data visualization and BI including but not limited to knowledge of cutting-edge features of Tableau versions 10.0 and higher. • Develop materials for and train users at the Bureau to implement best practices in Tableau, including both Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server versions 10.0 and higher. • Work with Bureau staff to develop requirements for Tableau reports. Develop dashboards, visualizations and reports based on those requirements. Create and deploy dashboards to Tableau server in accordance with client needs. • Field business-related questions through exploratory data analysis such as statistical or geo-spatial analysis, and develop ad-hoc reporting. • Identify relevant data sources and manipulate data to develop dashboards, visualizations and reports. • Extract and integrate data from multiple sources including relational databases, NoSQL environments and flat files into the reporting workflow by writing appropriate queries. • Work with end users to identify requirements for data sources and coordinate with Data Operations and Data Architecture teams to develop and optimize queries on those data sources for reporting needs. • Assess, recommend, and help implement enhancements to the business intelligence technical architecture to keep pace with changing business demands, scale and new software releases. • Work closely with systems administrators, technical support staff and others to identify, diagnose, track and resolve complex technical issues in both Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. • Manage and track end user requests for BI related software and software upgrades. • Manage and track end user requests for deploying dashboards and changing permissions to dashboards on Tableau Server. • Identify and implement process improvements for how the BI team interacts with end users. • Develop project plans for BI team initiatives, track progress against those plans, develop status reports, and communicate project status with stakeholders. • Work with BI staff to coordinate and prioritize work. Evaluation Requirement:   • Send us a packaged (dynamic) workbook saved as Tableau version 2018.2 or earlier. • Submit most recent Tableau workbook demonstrating their capabilities that does not have sensitive data, even if it isn’t from the current client • Provide (static) PDFs of a Tableau Workbook they designed with the sensitive data removed or “whited-out”.  This won’t show us any calculations they’ve embedded or some of the interactive features but it will show us their design perspective.
