Duration: 6+ months

• looking to transition to AWS and is looking to do a lift and shift of some 50 disparate tools that are all in the .NET framework libraries. The developers will be tasked with preparing the tools for the lift and shift. They will be tasked with:
  • Technical Documentation – high level mapping, not super detailed, breaking down of components & assessment of dependencies of other tools (create data flow & architecture artifacts, deployment diagram, dependency map)
  • Portability – allow for the creation of environments to support development, UAT, & production support for the lift and shift to AWS
  • Promotion – provide a mechanism for promoting releases through the environments
  • Versioning – allow for the versioning of elements (tasks, schedules, etc) within the infrastructure
• Some of the tools may not even need visitation, some may interact with the SQL server, some may have UIs but if redesign is needed it will be minimal – the forms will all stay where they are but the middleware may need to change. This is more about making sure each tool still works, not about optimization of each tool – just need to facilitate their use in the cloud
• Most are batch processing type of environment & will be tested in the cloud
