Telecommunications Analyst

Job Description :Among the key duties of this position are the following: Investigates, analyzes, and corrects network faults and/or performance issues to ensure optimal delivery of network services. Utilizes network monitoring software and established toolsets to monitor network equipment and identify network service issues. Proposes, implements and provides support for network equipment and infrastructure hardware/software changes performed during scheduled maintenance work windows. Receives and responds to service requests and issues in support of central DNS/DHCP/IPAM services. Receives and responds to critical service requests during off hours/on call shifts. Qualifications Minimum Education And Experience Requires a Bachelor s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in telecommunications and computing, with progressively increasing positions of technical expertise. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be able to demonstrate telecommunication and networking skills Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills Strong analysis and troubleshooting capability Knowledge of the principles and practices of telecommunications systems planning, and has knowledge of the methods and techniques involved in the design, installation, and operation of network communications systems, for both wired and wireless architectures. Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) Juniper Networks Certified Associate  Junos (JNCIA-Junos) Experience with or knowledge of network management systems, configuration management software, IPAM software, work order ticketing systems, log analyzer software, Python, API experience. Equipment Utilized Working knowledge of Cisco IOS and Juniper JunOS, cable engineering, strong understanding of OSI model, and hands on experience configuring and troubleshooting network switches, routers, and routing protocols EIGRP, MPLS, OSPF, and BGP are essential Physical Demands and Work Environment
