Job Description :

Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the web team, develop and maintain the GGC public and internal websites using up-to-date and effective web technologies with a focus on the end user experience and offering a consistent look and feel that aligns with brand standards, key messages, and college mission and goals.
  • Ensure usability and accessibility of public and internal websites including 508 compliance.
  • Analyze issues with appearance, performance or functionality and recommend/implement effective solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison to web hosting company and CMS vendor for services, needs and product enhancements.
  • Complete projects in a timely and efficient manner, collaborating with technical and non-technical campus partners/clients.
  • Evaluate and prioritize reported website issues and functionality requests based on business needs, data and community standards.
  • Create technical and end-user documentation including standards documentation.
  • Provide support for campus events and serve as a backup for other Digital Communications team members as needed.

 Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with PHP, Javascript HTML/XHTML, CSS, and Git.
  • Experience using project management tools and processes.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • SEO optimization experience.
  • Experience with information architecture and ability to develop mockups and prototypes.
  • Experience developing user interfaces and site navigation menus; some experience with design tools such as Photoshop.
