Job Title: AutoSAR BSW Engineer/ Sr. Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI  (Hybrid)

Exp: 1 – 5 Years 

Duration : Full time/ Contract

 

Position Overview:

As an AUTOSAR Software Engineer / Sr. Software Engineer, will be a key contributor to the development of embedded software solutions for automotive applications. Will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, implement, and optimize software that complies with AUTOSAR standards and enhances vehicle performance and functionality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, configure, and integrate AUTOSAR software components according to industry best practices.
  • Perform software validation, integration, and debugging on embedded systems, ensuring compliance with AUTOSAR specifications.
  • Write, maintain, and optimize high-quality code in accordance with coding standards and AUTOSAR guidelines.
  • Actively participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, reliability, and adherence to software development processes.
  • Investigate and resolve software-related issues, conducting thorough root cause analysis.
  • Contribute to the creation of AUTOSAR software architecture and design documentation.
  • Support software testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and validation.
  • Work closely with system architects, hardware engineers, and cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications for automotive control units.
  • Collaborate with calibration teams to fine-tune control algorithms and enhance software performance.

 

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of hands-on experience in embedded software development for automotive applications.
  • Experience with AUTOSAR configuration tools and methodologies such as ETAS, Vector and EB
  • Ability to work closely with customers in providing technical solution mainly supporting on OS, Diagnostics, COM, Memory, RTE Modules 
  • Executing development and integration of AUTOSAR BSW on complex ECUs with many stake holders and global teams
  • Hands on experience in integration processes and configuration of AUTOSAR BSW
  • Experience of MCAL integration in the AUTOSAR BSW and the tailoring of the MCAL to meet the project needs
  • Proficient in programming languages such as C and C++ for embedded systems.
  • Good Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) etc...
  • Familiarity with software development tools and debugging techniques.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Understanding of automotive industry standards and regulations (ISO 26262, ASPICE) is a plus
