Clinical informatics Data Specialist

• Supports and trouble shoot problems with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other ancillary clinical information systems
• Works with clinical team and EMR core team to improve and automate clinical data flow and collection process
• Integrates data from different data sources – Electronic Medical Records, Electronic Dental Records, laboratory interfaces, pharmacy and billing systems to support departmental and organizational clinical quality improvement and patient safety goals
• Optimizes EHR functions and support efficient clinical workflows to improve the quality of care and patient safety
• Works with clinical teams to develop and optimize EHR templates using visual form editor
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics, Public Health, Nursing
• Proficient in writing SQL queries, stored procedures and experience with database management required
• Strong experience working with reporting tools like SAP Crystal Reports or Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Experience working with data visualization tools like Tableau, Microsoft Power BI or similar tools
• Able to multi task, excellent written and oral communication skills and strong attention to details
