Design Engineer

• • The Design Engineer is expected to design & develop Electric Chargeport Door Assembly.
  • Good experience in designing products with different material integration utilizing DFM/A for Injection Molding and Casting Processes is required.
  • To create 3D CAD models using CATIA V5 for proposal studies and concept generation.
  • Perform engineering calculations and develop kinematics in CATIA V5 using DMU workbench.
  • Direct CAE teams and interpret FEA simulation results integrating recommendations into product design.
  • Have to work with metal and plastic component suppliers towards optimized and feasible product design through DFM and Moldflow studies.
  • Supporting overall product development milestones and prototype/production builds.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Engineering, Manufacturing and Procurement teams to ensure assembly feasibility and serviceability
  • Should support team with technical documentation to include DFMEAs and DVP&R’s
