Role: - IAM Engineer

Location: -100% Remote

Must Have Skills & Abilities: -

.familiarity with identity and access management principles, and understanding of secure network architectures and database technologies.

.familiarity with database technologies used to store enterprise information, data encryption technologies, and application security.

·Understanding of business/technology controls to manage confidential data throughout its lifecycle

·Strong communication skills (written and oral) and good problem-solving skills

·in-depth knowledge of security protocols and principles.

·Proficiency in networking technologies, networking security, and network monitoring solutions

·Proficiency in cloud access management and identity platforms such as Azure AD (Active Directory) and OKTA Verify.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions: -

·supports and administers the implementation of security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure of information.

·helps build and maintain a zero-trust architecture.

·maintains and manages the organization’s enterprise firewalls and security software tools.

·keeps up with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and cyber crimes.

·performs environmental penetration testing and supervises remediation activities until all threats have been mitigated.

·protects systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.

· implements security improvements by assessing the current security environment, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.

·performs initial and periodic privacy and security risk assessments and conducts ongoing monitoring activities in coordination with the organization’s other compliance and audit functions.

·evaluates new products, information systems, and architectures for compliance with company security policies.

·tracks the efficiencies of security controls implemented in support of the organization’s security objectives.

·Performs access reviews to ensure privacy principles are applied to applications, networks, and other areas that are defined or within audit scope.

·performs vulnerability reports, app scan findings, IDS/IPS logs, and logs monitoring applications to identify and prioritize findings and remediate when applicable.

·assesses the impact of technology and business changes and re-engineering efforts, as well as all system development projects pertaining to information security and Privacy, controls

·point of contact for escalated security incidents or system breaches.

·Assists with external audits, including all related compliance/audit issues, corrective action plans, process control manuals, and documentation. This includes direct interaction with any 3rd party providers.

·reviews violations of computer security and data privacy practices and discusses security procedures to ensure violations are not repeated.

·assists in the development and implementation of organizational-wide privacy policies and procedures, such as security standards, security processes, a cyber security incident response plan, disaster recovery and business continuity, vulnerability assessments and reports, and security compliance activities.

·assists in the build, refinement, and operations of roles, permissions, and access within proprietary application systems to ensure software conforms to company and industry standards.

·modernizes and standardizes user access controls, such as Active Directory users, roles, and groups.

·standardizes and modernizes access management flows.

·assists in the integration of applications into a single sign-on model enterprise-wide.

Required Qualifications: -

·  Bachelor's degree in computer science or comparable job experience in information security.

·  5+ years of experience working as a security engineer or in a related position

·  Recognized security-related certificates (CCNA, CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, etc.) are required.

·  experience working with information and network security practices, software, and hardware.

·  proven experience developing, operating, and maintaining security systems.
