IT Application Developer

Job Description:

Responsiblities:

• Works closely with customers and staff to prototype, test, and validate the functionality of developed applications.
• Participates in the installation of hardware, software, and performs technical consultation for the core architecture software packages that the applications are based upon.
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and fixes bugs and malfunctions.
• Evaluates, plans, and performs coding of enhancements.
• Analyzes, reviews, and alters application software to increase operating efficiency, adapt new requirements, and to correct errors.
• Acts as the principal point of contact for support and maintenance of issues and enhancements.
• Designs and implements application database schema and structures in close collaboration with the city’s database administrator.
• Provides training for users and co-workers on applications.
