Job Summary:

Responsible for oversight and supervision of the Accounting Department and liaison to CAC. Audits and analyzes all operating statements for assigned NES District. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains through subordinate staff adequate financial records in support of operational activities for sales audit accounts receivable home layaway fixed assets and project accounting. Assures that source documents and financial transactions are properly reconciled. - Managers and oversees payroll functions. - Responsible for the coordination and development of local budgets. - Maintains liaison with Exchange management and CAC to insure prompt receipt of documents required to effectively record the transactions and to resolve discrepancies or other problems. - Reviews and analyzes preliminary and subsequently corrected and adjusted operating statements. Performs extensive review and analysis of data contained therein and makes comparative analysis. Compare current performance with budgeted amounts and prior year monthly and cumulative operations. Where deficiencies are recognized researches applicable documents and determines nature of inaccuracy of deviation prepares necessary documentation to request adjustments or corrections to the accounts of the statement. Performs analysis of specific accounts that have significant balances or variances or that have a history of being used improperly. - Recommends appropriate adjustment or corrections. Advises managers of corrective action taken in connection with errors made. Advises supervisor of problem areas where staff are not complying with established policies and procedures. - Disseminates financial information to NEXs and Departments within the District. - Answers questions pertaining to operating statements and gathers the necessary information that auditors may need to complete their audit. - Performs other related duties as assigned
