Business Analyst

• Business Analyst with Data expertise for their Commercial Operations and Information management team. 
• The Data Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding overall data and information landscape, how the business leverages information assets today and how we can develop data solutions to generate new insights to better engage our customers. 

Roles Duties:

• Act as a ‘data product manager’ – going beyond simple requirements elicitation and defining solutions that anticipate future needs, leveraging Digital and Data knowledge of where the industry is going.
• Perform traditional functions expected of a Business Analyst. (Examples - User stories, Rapid prototyping with data, Process flow diagrams, etc.) 
• Work with the application development partners to help translate requirements into technical specifications, assist in user acceptance testing, work with end users to define test scenarios. 
• Define the user experience- ensure data solutions are easy to navigate and consume.
• Drive a rich user experience via Proof of Concept iterations and agile prototyping.
• Facilitate data-driven thinking by identifying decision-making requirements.
• Curate information and develop reports using Power BI, Alteryx, KNIME
• Expedite data sharing across Commercial & Medical Departments by creating a robust data catalog.
• Develop strong business acumen and utilize analytic prowess to generate insights.
• Utilize raw and curated data tables, create logical source-to-target mappings, illustrate processes, data and Information flows.
• Develop technical training content for Digital and Data solutions to be utilized by Commercial and Medical colleagues.
• Create user friendly reports, dashboards 
• Apply best practices from IT Project Management methodologies- Agile, Waterfall or hybrids.
• The ideal candidate must also demonstrate strong investigative, problem solving and analytical skills, and be able to clearly communicate ideas. The candidate must possess a focus on quality with attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Experience:

• 5-8yrs of Business Analysis experience on Data Analytics Projects in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry is required.
• CBAP or CCBA certification is preferred 
• Must be self-motivated, team player, and well organized.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and/or tasks.
• Proven oral and written communication skills

Education:

• BS/MS Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems.
