Responsible for researching, analyzing, and reporting cost discrepancies. Supports the design of process improvements.
1. Develop a strong knowledge of pricing and costing strategies and how these apply to purchase orders, inventory valuation, customer pricing, and invoice reconciliation. 2. Research and document discrepancies in cost and communicate recommended resolutions to appropriate parties. 3. Thoroughly understand aspects of changing product cost post receipt of goods in compliance. 4. Review customer compliance audit specifications. 5. Perform tasks to manually revise item cost so that customer pricing is correct. 6. Utilize the general ledger, SAP data browser, and SAP Vendor Invoice Maintenance to create a cost variance report. 7. Reconcile differences between invoice and purchase order unit cost. 8. Collect, prepare, and distribute reporting and root cause analysis for cost errors and purchase order revisions. 9. Provide support to Operating Companies as it pertains to questions regarding Purchase Order (PO) cost and its impacts on the business. 10. Give guidance to Information Technology (IT) teams as it applies to system issues and improvement opportunities.
1. High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent. 2. Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or other related fields preferred.
1. 3-5 years' finance/accounting experience. 2. Microsoft Access, Excel, SharePoint, Visio experience. 3. SAP experience preferred. 4. Experience with structured analysis methods including process mapping, root cause analysis, and Pareto analysis preferred.
1. Communicate and collaborate effectively with people from multiple departments and various levels of management. 2. Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills. 3. Interpret and evaluate data to under-performing business processes. 4. Identify the root causes of problems. 5. Able to work' and act independently. 6. Can meet deadlines.
