Java Developer

Job Summary and Opportunity:

Work closely with team members and other stakeholders to create industry-leading software that equips our clients to scale their businesses. Create and support Enterprise-grade Java applications for the financial services industry. Contribute directly as a developer within the Agile iteration cycle and participate in both high-level and detailed design for new product capabilities and improvements. Help address technical debt and advance the application architecture roadmap. Bachelor's degree, 6+ years' building reliable, high performance applications with Java technologies

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects and other developers on specifications, designs, standards, code reviews, and test capabilities
• Contribute to architecture, coding, testing, and deployment decisions
• Partner with Product, Project, QA, DevOps, and Support teams to release high-quality software and ensure its reliable operation in production
• Mentor other developers in technical best practices and growth
• Author Java code changes to address technical debt and advance the application architecture roadmap

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field OR equivalent training and experience
• 1+ years’ hands-on experience building production applications using Java platform technologies
• Expert knowledge of core Java language and platform features
• Sound understanding of Java internals (garbage collection, performance, class loaders), network fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS), and security (OAuth, JWT, XSS, CORS)
• Commitment to code quality and automated testing
• Excellent written and verbal communication along with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Occasional work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends, as necessary to support business needs

Preferred:

• Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST, JSF, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• JEE, JPA/Hibernate, SQL, and MongoDB in production applications
• Git, Gradle/Maven, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and AWS cloud infrastructure
