Network Engineer

Job Description :Job Title:  Network Engineer II  Location: Jacksonville, FL Duration: 12+ months Job Description: Understanding of enterprise level networking concepts, function, protocols and interactions for the local and wide area environment Advanced knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Sniffers, protocol analyzers, QoS, NAT, Routing protocols such as, OSPF, BGP, VoIP protocols such as, SIP, H323, Network Access Control, NAC, Endpoint management, Network Management software, SSL VPN, IPsec VPN, PPTP; Working knowledge of various server hardware including, but not limited to SCSI controllers, SCSI enclosures, RAID technologies and configurations. Working knowledge of Windows Operating System; Working knowledge of the software installation, physical design, and backup requirements regarding SQL Server, IIS Server, MS SharePoint and Terminal Services Advanced networking infrastructure skills to manage, switches, cabling, wireless, routers and other network related peripherals;  Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; Strong research, creative solution making and problem solving ability; Ability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed; The ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, moving from task to task without loss of efficiency and composure. Experience with Remote Desktop Solutions (Citrix, Terminal Services). Experience deploying, supporting and testing disaster recovery networks and exercises. Experience working with Performance Monitoring Software.  Experience implementing and managing Active Directory, network shares, printer management, and networked applications.
