What to do if sponsoring employer asks you resign after getting visa transfer receipt number?

Does anyone know what to do in a situation where you seeking transfer from one sponsoring H1B employer to another and the new sponsoring employer ask to you resign after receiving the H1B visa application receipt number?

You will have to find another employer. But depart with the previous employer on a good note even if you feel it is harsh treatment on their side.

Your visa status will immediately be converted to 2 months grace period.

As per the H1B visa rule, you cannot do anything about it. The employer can lawfully lay off the H1B worker.

If you do not get a job soon parallely try to change the status to F1 by which you can get pre-completion OPT.
