About the Role
• The Product Manager, Data & Application Platforms, is responsible for leading development of new data products, redesign, and maintenance of existing products. These products include client facing SaaS platforms and internal products that support these products.
• You will drive product development and play a key role in designing the product architecture ensuring that design meets strategic and technical objectives. You will work closely with business managers, marketing managers, UI/UX designers, and software developers to deliver these goals.
• You understand data and database technologies and can comfortably converse with engineers and liaison with business stakeholders. The role involves gathering requirements from multiple business stakeholders, prioritizing work, presenting priorities in sprint plans, scheduling work by working closely with project managers, and demonstrating work completed to a large audience.
• An important aspect of this role is bringing thought leadership to product development, going beyond planning and executing work.
• This position reports to the VP of Product Management
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
• Ability to relate technical decisions and recommendations to business needs
• Good understanding of relational databases and data relationships
• Familiarity with content management technologies is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications:
• Five to seven years of work experience as a product manager for SaaS products
• At least five years of experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders in support of a multi-departmental data management and analytics initiatives
• Must be comfortable with data and complex data relationships with multiple products and business rules
• Experienced in working with technical and business teams
• A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or equivalent work experience.
