Quality Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Performs analytical testing and interprets results.
• Uses laboratory instruments precisely.
• Trains others – groups and individuals.
• Conducts audits and manages audit schedule.
• Performs activities applying the McKee Operating System principles to conduct investigations and experiments.
• Writes reports, presentations, and spreadsheets.
• Distinguishes fact from opinion during investigations.
• Understands chemistry/food science/food microbiology as it relates to our products and environment.
• Evaluates product – interprets texture, mouth feel, taste and flavor.
• Communicates effectively and respectfully with others – departmentally and company-wide.
• Uses multiple internal computer applications  to appropriately complete tasks.
• Conducts holds, disposition, and releases for food safety and quality investigations.
• Serves as a plant Quality and Food Safety representative.

Qualifications:

• At least 12 semester hours of college science classes, or equivalent technical training.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Must be detailed, accurate and show excellent quality work with excellent follow through.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Must be willing to cover other TS Analyst positions, as needed.
• Must have excellent attendance and discipline record.
