Senior Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple end-to-end cross functional projects that drive strategic priorities across the LCM business area.
• Organize, map, and analyze broad/diverse sets of data from multiple data systems to create knowledge needed to achieve specific goals using methods that are repeatable, dependable, traceable, and precise.
• Design, perform, and coordinate all data modeling and analysis activities to meet product life cycle business needs.
• Create and deliver routine reports and dashboards to meet recurring data deliverables for customers.
• Extract and analyze data, patterns, and related trends on product performance, plus explain and defend your outputs and recommendations to internal and external customers.
• Define, create, and maintain databases for key logistics data, such as product MTBF history, repair costing, and warranty pricing.
• Work with department leaders to translate business requirements into repeatable routine analyses, data tools, and metrics to drive business decisions.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and provide proof of concept reports that can be transitioned to routine actions.
• Transform data consumption from Excel-based tables to highly interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues, including determining root cause and recommending systemic resolutions that may affect multiple data systems.
• Design and deliver program communications and presentations to all management levels in the company.
• Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline with 10 years related experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience considered.
• Experience in reporting, data visualization, and presentation.
• Proven ability to collaborate across all levels of the enterprise to gain cooperation to achieve business objectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to concisely communicate with all levels of the enterprise and customer base.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be adaptable to changing requirements.
• Must have strong planning and execution skills, plus self-drive to produce results.
• Proficient with Power BI, including power query configuration and DAX calculations.
• Occasional presence in company facilities in Syracuse, NY is required.
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance is required.

• Expertise in programming languages Java, Python, R, SAS, Scala, SQL.
• Experience with statistical and mathematical analysis.
