Job Objective: 

The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for supporting the central administration of the ServiceNow platform, for developing and continually improving the functionality of applications hosted on that platform, for providing end-user support and for conducting problem investigations and root cause analysis to resolve functional issues.

Responsibilities:

Serves as a subject matter expert for the ServiceNow platform.

• Develops and maintains ServiceNow platform and custom applications
• Follows best practices and Ferguson development guidelines and standards to protect platform performance and prevent Incidents
• Researches technical issues using web sites, vendor support procedures and other troubleshooting methods
• Participates in projects and support issues associated with ServiceNow applications, liaising with appropriate IT departments as well as associated vendors
• Supports the Platform Manager to document, communicate and continually improve the processes and policies that describe the use and administration of the ServiceNow platform and applications for Ferguson
• Provides appropriate IT associates with technical training, support and secondary documentation for ServiceNow applications
• Creates requests for change in association to the ServiceNow platform as necessary
• Continually reviews the efficiency and effectiveness of the ServiceNow platform and applications
• Maintains a current knowledge of ServiceNow product offerings and other supporting technologies
• Upholds the core values of the Service Automation team
