Software Engineer

What You Will Do

As an OpsC2 Software Engineer, you will pair programs regularly and use Test-Driven Development to implement user stories from the product's backlog.

You will help Product Managers write stories by providing input on technical complexity and feasibility. You will be empowered to learn continuously, and you will work closely with your Product Manager and Designers in a balanced team to define product direction. You will also help enable junior engineers to grow. You will provide input on architecture decisions and help ensure code quality.

Who You Are

• You are proficient in writing Javascript and Java or Kotlin.
• You are proficient with frontend and backend development.
• You are familiar with the Spring and/or React.js frameworks.
• You enjoy paired programming and working on a balanced team.
• You have experience with Test-Driven Development, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
• You keep up with best practices and spread that knowledge to others.
• You are comfortable working in a UNIX terminal.
• You have experience deploying applications in a containerized environment.
• You are experienced with SQL databases.
• You can develop empathy with your users.
