Technical Analyst

Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Technical Analyst for our team in Portland, Oregon! The ideal candidate is highly analytical, has experience in employee benefits and/or underwriting, and has advanced Excel skills. 

• Attend training sessions and/or courses to develop skills and pursue insurance related designations
• Use report templates for: renewal analysis, benchmarking, trend surveys, requests for proposals, proposal analysis, annual report, and other routine client work such as experience reports
• Review and with guidance analyze and provide interpretation of technical issues relating to employee benefits and new insurance products and/or services
• Provide technical assistance for special projects and/or services including rate calculations, cost projections, financial settlement, analysis, alternative funding options, and alternative plan designs
• Supply producers with clients’ financial impact and information related to the laws and regulations.

Key skills:

• Assist Technical Consultantwith internal technical training.
• Experience in the field of data analytics, employee benefits or medical underwriting highly preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
